The Wrong Run
chasing a mirage in the bliss of day
akin to grasping the wind-driven-words
there is no say--we have no sway
now with façade, he efforts forwards
losing identity, he runs amuck and thus astray
still running yet not the same chase
footsteps sings a different pace
now all is dead or either in waste.
only then, he sees all to savor
in foreign dreams, there is no favor
never put bricks in clouds of vapor
for dreams are forged
with the steal of reality
and the fire of thoughts
ignited by the streams of obduracy
all in our own
with our mind and tools of stone

definition:
1
chasing means running after something, reaching, trying to get it
however it is only something that we can "see" and we have no way of making sure whether it is real or unreal.
as "mirages" appears in the day (literally), we are convinced that it is real (tho it may not)
mirage here means dreams, ambitions, things we want to achieve,
simply it is just an image that we've fixed in our mind to achieve, as we picture it in our mind, it's not exactly real yet is it?
mirage (dreams) are just like the forgotten words
wind-driven-words here would mean spoken words that lies undone, unheard words that died in the wind, an unkeepable promise blaa...
however, this would subject heavily to your judgement and interpretion
so how do you catch something that you know is there but it cannot be seen nor touch?
literally impossible yet impossibility has yet to stop men in his recklessness and determination.
sidenote: dreams do seem impossible at first, as we picture too much of it, we are convinced that it is somehow possible.
in both the situation in line 1 and line 2. it is indeed impossible, thus our dreams would be the ones directing and steering us and we have absolute zero domination over it.
(the stated impossibilities are just to prove a point in the coming lines and not everyone turns out this way)
in another sense, we should be the ones in control of our dreams, not "it" controlling us.
for (if) one have fail so many times, one might try another approach: changes his way of doing things, his way of thinking blaa...
all in all, someone changes into someone he is not
then he strives for his ambitions again.
and this would be his sacrifice for his ambition, to change one has to "let go" of something, to release/ let go/ give up/ give in part of them and those values rarely returns.
as one has changed so drastically, dramatically, one "loses identity"
for he has changed in respect to his ambitions,
he might not be who he wants to be (yet he might be, yet he might be what his dreams demands)
(however, since dreams are unreal, and there are many reasons why one chooses his path [greed, authority blaa], what would he become?)
as he has lost himself in the toil of ambition, he loses sight of his initial ambition
(there are those who gets so engross in striving for their ambition that a few actually forgets what it is that they are chasing, barely makes sense but true enough)
2
however he is still toiling and working for something but it is no longer the same dream or with the same ambition for he has lost himself
to further describe how much he has change, even the echoes and action of placing his foot down is different. [lol]
now, abruptly, for he has changed so much, he realizes that everything good and plesant that he once was is not in him anymore.
and because (if) he has become something he doesn't want to be, all his efforts so far would be in vain.
3
then he realizes that he should've kept and appreciated everything that he has
instead of putting everything down and chasing something that he doesn't have (ambitions, dreams, mirages blaa)
"foreign dreams", earlier I've mentioned that he's still chasing however not for the same ambition. Foreign would mean that he is unwelcome, thus the circumstances wouldn't favor him in anyway.
this is simply my way of saying "building castles in the clouds"
4
because dreams are made and building over time, here the whole process is compared to the forging of swords blaa.
ambitions need to revolve around a foundation of reality, on the things which are clearly possible and rational
"fire" gives the idea of something burning. this line would mean the burning of ideas, which would mean that our thoughts and ideas would be the fuel of our ambition
and this "fire" would be constantly supplied by a "stream" of determination, stubornness, persistence, perseverence blaa...
5
however, all those required for one to strive for his ambition is within one.
meaning everyone have all they need to achieve their ambition, they just need to look deep enough
sidenote: we are our answers, we are our questions, we convince ourselves otherwise.
and within us would be our mind and that would say enough of what we need. [looool]
"stone" here would mean both the literal term and its symbolic definition
literally, dated back in the paleolitic age, the most simple, basic tool would be the stone and using such tools requires hard work that would be streanous and tiring.
the symbolic definition would mean raw determination as hard and as unbreakable as a rock.

author's comment:
this piece is just so poorly written ><
the rhyme scheme is kinda out however bearable to a certain extend
the sounds are kinda out of tune
the choice of words seems pathetic somehow~
lol, and then it's been a 7 month block, I guess I can't expect much.
hope this'll be a start for many more to come
